A few weekends ago, I was asked to photograph a weekend that saw my Uncle Scott and Aunt Lori renewed their vows on a rooftop over San Francisco after ten years of marriage.  After a turbulent decade of ups, downs, and all arounds, they have only fallen only more deeply in love with each other - and in turn have blessed this family with their commitment.  Love truly is patient. A few shots I took from a weekend with my wonderful family in the city by the bay.  These people just make me so happy. The Giant’s Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. It is located in County Antrim on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland.

Oh the memories this place has.  Happy Saint Patrick’s day

U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday (Live Rattle And Hum)

I’m writing a political science paper on the Irish Conflict, and feeling especially impassioned, heartbroken, conflicted, and nostalgic.  It’s hard to write so impartially about a place and a conflict that left such a deep mark on my heart.  Playing this on repeat and praying for peace in a land still pock-marked with the the scars of “neighborly murders.”
